Online Today – helping people with sensory loss to get online

Technology can make life easier when you have sight or hearing problems, but knowing where to start isn't always easy.

"I couldn’t have used the iphone without the help and encouragement I received” Susan, Southampton

The internet is transforming the way we live our lives.  From how we shop, communicate with people and find out what's happening around the world and in our community, to how we read books, listen to music and book our favourite restaurant.

Start your online journey

Watch Andrew, a member of the Online Today team, talk about his personal experiences of how, as someone with sight loss, he uses technology.

The one to one support through Online Today is fantastic – you can just bring along what you want to learn. I discovered I can see emails much easier and quicker on the iPad than the computer so I learnt how to set these up on my ipad and iphone and can now email my son in South Africa!
