Sight loss support programmes

Our sight loss support courses can help you deal with both the practical and emotional challenges of sight loss.

The sessions involve a range of interactive workshops and discussions with people in a similar situation with a professional facilitator. You can share your experiences and hear how others have overcome some of the challenges of sight loss.

You'll have time to focus and discuss the things helpful products, services and support available, this is also an opportunity to reflect on how you can take positive steps forward to improve and enjoy your life.

Practical courses

RNIB run practical courses to help deal with the practical and emotional challenges of sight loss. There's a range of options available, from courses that last one day to longer courses of four weeks:

  • Finding your Feet is a two day course that delves into things a little deeper. It may include speakers from other organisations who will talk about some of the services or opportunities they offer.
  • Living with Sight Loss is made up of weekly day-long sessions (usually spread over four weeks) and is delivered in partnership with other charities and local groups.
